Last Days as an Outreachy Intern on the Yocto Project!
The experience I had as an Outreachy Intern at The Yocto Project was wonderful and these last days i have never felt more surreal, 3 months was a massive impactful journey.
I've learned so much from one of the greatest people in Tech - my mentor Ross Burton, like I mean my git skill are finely polished and the concept of critical scrutiny was a major factor that influenced my growth process positively. :) I am proud to have been part of a supportive open source community @The Yocto Project, truly it has been a rewarding experience. I am coming out more confident, wiser and ready to take on any challenge thanks to the Outreachy community engagements. I only hope i can return the favor sometime in the future.
So i took a trip down memory lane, to read my very first introductory blog post, and i see the glaring achievement and success relative to time, to highlight but a few comparisons:
* Starting out as an Outreachy intern i was feeling optimistic with expectations and to be frank the experience exceeded my expectations.
* One week into the internship, when my pals asked about what i was working on, i talked sparingly about it and had to think for a short while before replying, but this time it's the total opposite.
* Remember when i jokingly wrote about writing a Yocto software recipe because one of my hobbies was recreating food recipes, well i did write one and it's no joke now :)
* A plus from my Outreachy journey is Improved communication skills :)
* If you didn't notice i did, my core values "determination" "honesty" and "learning" has only become sturdier :)
* Before embarking on this internship, I have always craved blogging but never dared to. Now look what i ended up doing!
Reeling in satisfactory excitement as i finish this piece, while my heart race about what next after Outreachy.... But as of today, this journey has become a monumental history! cheers to better days ahead!
